Process

From idea to finished piece.

Every VORM piece begins differently. A sketch, a saved image, an unusual space or a material you want to build around.

  4. 04Fabrication

    Design and fabrication

Refinishing

Already own the piece? We can resurface it.

If you have a table, console or cabinet you like the shape of but not the surface, VORM can refinish it in microcement or tile. Send a photo of the piece with a few details and we will tell you whether it can be resurfaced — and what it would cost.

Not every piece is suitable. Substrate, movement, weight and edge detail all affect whether a hand-trowelled or tiled finish will hold. We assess each piece before quoting.

  1. 01Send a photoPhotograph the piece from a few angles, including a close view of the surface and edges.
  2. 02Tell us the detailsRough dimensions, what it is currently made of, and whether the top, edges or whole piece should be refinished.
  3. 03We assess feasibilityWe review the substrate, weight, movement and edge detail to confirm whether microcement or tile can be applied properly.
  4. 04Pricing and finishIf the piece is suitable, we quote the work and agree on the finish before any fabrication begins.

Have something else in mind?

You do not need a finished drawing. Send us an inspiration image, rough sketch or basic description and we will review whether the piece can be developed by VORM.

Requests are reviewed individually. Submission does not guarantee project acceptance or pricing.
